What am I do doing these days? Being home has made me more productive and more ADD. I went to the fabric store twice today, people. And Starbucks twice. What is this life?
I have three quilts basted and ready to quilt:
This project ready to cut and piece:
And, because I’m not already over extended, I also have this project now under way thanks to those trips to the fabric store!
Is there any medication for quilting ADD? Oh, ok. I’ll just sit here in Starbucks and enjoy my coffee by the 80 year old lady embroidering next to me who I want to talk to so badly… Would that be creepy? Probs. Instead I’ll sit here reading this amazing but completely bizarre book.

Damn you, Ashley Hinton. When I saw this email title, I thought someone was sending me a link to a sewing class for people with ADD! Daggummit!! (Now, quick, somebody capitalize on this market b/c I will be your first attendee haha).
Ooooh, those quilts look lovely! Can’t wait to see them all finished. And that books on my to-read list…I read Gone Girl, completely disturbing but enjoyed every minute of it!!
Oh I have that too and it’s contagious over the internet. 😉 Check it out- I started a new blog and I’m doing a whole week of WIP posts to showcase my ADD.
haha sounds like you are having an epic time! So much productivity (and coffee!). Both sound wonderful, can’t wait to see those finished quilts!
two trips to starbucks sounds like heaven right about now, it’s steamy hot here and I could really used an iced caramel! Love the fabric you picked for the new project.
Love the new fabric purchases – gorgeous. Looking forward to seeing what you do with them. Have a great day …………….Marie
Dark Places = on the list. Thanks. Send some productivity my way, too, along with the book rec. please.
Congrats on having the quilts ready, loving the new fabric….and I would have been jealous two weeks ago for the free time but now I can’t wait for 1 week off to sew and have some beach time/Charleston sight seeing and I could finish 1 of the 3 books I have started 🙂
I need to get a quilt basted, I must channel my inner Ashley. I just finished a book last night and am looking for my next read. I didn’t know she had another book out; I was obsessed with Gone Girl.
Starbucks twice AND fabric store twice all in one day?? I’ll tell you what life that is- pure, unadulterated fabulousness! Three quilts basted- look at you go girl! Can’t wait to see what delicious project you turn out next!
🙂 Kelly
OMG I so want your life right now!
“Amazing, but bizarre” is a great description of that book! 😀 I look forward to seeing your next quilts! The fabric stack is beautiful…I love the addition of the blues!
Love the flurry of activity. Looking forward to seeing the finished quilts.
I can’t wait to see what you do with that new stack! This is sounding like the best vacation ever.
Wow! I totally relate. I actually take medication for ADD but quilting ADD seems to be a whole other issue lol! If you find a cure let me know (I’m sure my husband would greatly appreciate it :)) I’m new to your blog and love it!!
