The Soul Blossom baby quilt is basted and quilted, y’all!
I decided to go with a meander just like the tutorial, and I think the texture is fabulous.
I would love to make this quilt again, and next time I plan to try more intricate FMQ designs. However, with so much solid negative space I was a little scared to try designs on this one. Next time. I’m getting there.
For the binding, I chose a beautiful print from Kate Spain’s Sunnyside line. I think the words fit with the feel of the quilt, and I just love teal and gray. Winning.
Sneak peak at the back!
This is gorgeous, I thought it looked like butterflies, really, really pretty.
such a lovely fresh quilt. The binding is very striking
Nice and what a great binding choice!
Very pretty, very quick, very nice quilting, very lucky baby!
That quilting looks great and isn’t it amazing how it changes the quilt top. Lovely.
This may be my answer to my thin little scraps? I love when a quilt has a lot of negative space, beautiful
This is really pretty!
I love the appliqué. Appliqué is on my “to learn” list! Very pretty quilt.
That was so fast! It is so pretty and the quilting adds such a lovely texture to the negative space. Awesome binding too, I love that fabric!
This is great! Congrats on such a pretty quilt.
Your quilt is beautiful, I am always surprised how much impact the quilting has on a quilt. The backing fabric is really lovely.
This is so adorable and the quilting really is perfect for the negative space.
You are so right, the texture from the all over stipple looks great. I like how the quilting pattern doesn’t take your attention away from the lovely rings that you appliqued.
Ashley — this is so pretty! Love the applique and the quilting. What a special gift.
What the crap, didn’t you just start this?!?!?
Absolutely lovely!
Teal and grey is always a win! I think you might be getting on our band wagon, haha. I hope you make the second one soon, I can’t wait to see the more detailed quilting you have in mind!
So pretty, love the back, binding too
Oh I love the top and quilting but extra love the binding.
what a gorgeous quilt! It made me think of teething rings immediately 🙂 Amy Butler teething rings…what a lucky baby!!!
